The desperate state of the Palestinian economy motivated a commitment that the Presbyterian Church (USA) made at its 216th General Assembly to “development and compassionate action in Palestine.” One of the avenues for this effort is to support of our Palestinian Christian partners in providing low-cost housing for their communities.
Several opportunities have been identified for positive investment in church-based affordable housing projects in the West Bank. Supporting any of these projects promotes sustainable economic development by providing income for those involved in the construction process and affordable homes for Palestinians under pressure.
