Grace Presbyterian Church, Springfield, VA

We invite you to join our upcoming tour, “Walking Holy Ground: Pilgrimage and Study Tour to Israel and the West Bank,” Pilgrims will walk in the footsteps of Jesus, visiting sites in the Galilee, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Along the way we will meet people living in the land today, learning about their hopes, dreams and work for peace and justice. We will visit with Palestinian Christians in Nablus, see a Kibbutz, tour a Palestinian refugee camp and an Israeli settlement, and witness the inspiring work of the Tent of Nations, a Palestinian farm which is the center of peace activities.

June15 -‐ 29, 2013 - Abraham’s Children in Contemporary Israel and Palestine

Co-sponsored by the Siraj Center (Palestine) and The Middle East Task Force of Chicago, PC(USA)

Co-‐Leaders: Dr. Pauline Coffman and Dr. Paul Parker

The trip is designed to allow Israeli Jews to tell their stories and then to follow the Jewish narratives with Christian and Muslim Palestinian experiences, and finally the Samaritan, Druze, and Baha'i. We will explore how the devotees of the diverse religions of Israel and Palestine live together in a land where ethnic and religious differences are imposed on everyone.
We will see Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, Ramallah, Taybeh, Nablus, Nazareth, the Golan Heights, Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jaffa (and parts in between). We will meet in places of worship, in homes, and in institutions such as the children's libraries in Taybeh and Kufor Niemeh. Join us!

Completed trips:

October 12-27, 2012: Keep Hope Alive - Holy Land Olive Harvest Trip, Feb 2012. The Rev. Will McGarvey, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg, CA, lead this Keep Hope Alive trip. Experienced Palestinian hospitality first hand and participated with over 100 internationals from 15 countries in picking olives in orchards threatened by illegal settlers, while also having the chance to see historical and Holy Sites.
